"If the machine of government is such that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then I say, break the law. Let your life be a counter-friction to stop the machine." —Henry David Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobedience, 1849
Coutts is a village in Alberta, Canada. It is near the Alberta-Montana border. The protestors were inspired by the truckers Freedom Convoy 2022 heading to Ottawa, Canada, and started their Coutts Freedom Convoy 2022.
The Coutts protest began around January 29, 2022, after the Freedom Convoy 2022 arrived in Ottawa. Since then, it has ballooned, with farmers reinforcing the truckers. Alberta's Premier Jason Kenney called in the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) to disburse the truck convoy. However, tow truckers refused to help the RCMP. The Coutts convoy stated that they will remain until all covid-19 mandates are lifted across Alberta. Cattle and essential items are being brought across the border for the time being.
On February 3, 2022, Premier Jason Kenney announced that covid restrictions will be lifted beginning next week. However, Edmonton's mayor Amarjeet Sohi, said that the city could implement its own covid restrictions despite the province's policies. This at a time when Britain, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Czechoslovakia have dropped all covid restrictions.
Moreover, there are about 200 countries on Earth and over 50% of them don't know there's a pandemic. The invisible virus is most virulent in rich countries with corrupt politicians.

February 7, 2022. Pastor Artur was scheduled to give a speech to the truckers at the border and was arrested. Again.
