Let me give you a glimpse into the very near future. Governments are creating CBDCs (central bank digital currencies). These are NOT like bitcoin and others. They are creating programmable money that they can turn on and off if they don't like you. It will be tied to your digital ID. They can make your money expire to stimulate spending. They can freeze or delete your credits. They can permit you to only buy one piece of meat, to restrict your carbon footprint. They can program the money to do whatever they want, and it will be the end of freedom.
As long as the internet exists, cryptocurrencies will continue to exist. Decentralized crypto can't be taken from you by force. It can't be deleted. You don't have to ask permission spend it. There is always a risk that you lose your private keys, ut that's the tradeoff. Freedom or security. Learn to manage your private keys and it won't be a problem.
What is coming is far worse than you can imagine. Complete digital slavery is just around the corner. As governments ramp up the insanity, privacy focused coins will become more popular. People don't want to be tracked. People don't want to beg for permission to buy what they want at the grocery store. The playbook is easy to read. I can see what's coming next. I've said this many times before, but cryptocurrencies are a tool, like a knife. It's not good or bad on it's own. The government version is digital slavery. The open source community has an alternative. Yes, gold and silver is better in my opinion, but those can be taken by force. Crypto cannot.
Personally I like gold and silver better. If you don't like crypto, then start stacking gold and silver because digital slavery is not coming. It's here.
